Wolfpack Adventure Run - Bluehole, High Shoals Falls & Tray Mountain

This route is a fun & mostly runnable route that begins and ends at a gorgeous set of lesser known waterfalls, Blue Hole & High Shoals, with Tray Mountain & the Appalachian Trail featured along the way. 

There are two options for joining in the fun today. One is a long run (9-10miles) & the other is only visiting the waterfalls, which is only 2 miles but is a great adventure by itself! 

We will begin the long run at 8:30am sharp, and we anticipate returning to the trailhead to begin the waterfall portion at 11:30am. Note that the High Shoals trailhead is located on a bumpy forest service road, and you must cross a tiny creek to reach it. Any SUV should work just fine, but if you are concerned about crossing the shallow creek, you can park at the base of the mountain and arrange for someone to pick you up. PLEASE provide a heads up with arrival time if you intend to do this as you likely will not have service upon arrival.

Note that the long run route is in red, and the short route featuring the waterfalls is in green.

PLEASE do not show up to the event without taking time to view the map. Remember, service is always spotty in mountians, so you should always download maps to your phone.

WHAT TO PACK FOR THE DAY:

Bathing suit if you plan to swim in the falls

towel

change of clothes

snacks

water (if you are running the long route you are required to carry your own water & electrolytes
